IMPORTANT: The following procedure captures the screenshots/steps that you will be prompted to, IF you perform this over your own WI-FI or your own Hotspot. If you perform this in the office, the screenshots/steps will be slightly different. Follow the prompts accordingly and ensure that you select the ‘United States-International’ keyboard if you are instructed to.

Step 1

Turn on the device and ensure it is plugged into the power via the power cord supplied.

Step 2

Select the United States-International keyboard.

Step 3

Do you want to add a second Keyboard layout? OPTIONAL STEP

Step 4

Allow the setup to run

Step 5

Connect to your Wi-Fi or hotspot

 

Enter your Wi-fi Password and allow the device to connect

 

Do you want to allow your PC to be discoverable… SELECT NO.

 
 

Step 6

Download Microsoft Authenticator on your mobile and continue with Next. If this step does not occur, go to Step 7.

 

Add the account on App by selecting ‘Work or School’

 

And choose the option to scan the barcode

 

Step 7

Welcome to Ventia. Enter your email address and password

 

At this stage you will receive a notification on the Microsoft Authenticator to approve the Sign-in request. Approve the request on your mobile, and select Next.

 

Step 8

Allow 60 minutes before you attempt the login to the Ventia environment.

Login to the Ventia environment with your username and password. ctrl+alt+delete

 

If you are a new user, you will be asked to change your password

 

Once you are logged in, the system will start installing all the required applications. The time will vary and can’t be predicted so please allow the time accordingly. You will also get various prompts throughout this process (E.G. HP Support Warranty Registration which can be skipped-see the below pics)

 

Click on OK on the prompt below.

 

Click on Accept on Zscaler.

It is recommended to allow the system 3 to 4 hours to be fully updated but some of the apps should be available for use right away. (E.G. Microsoft Outlook).
